3 Bible Tips: Why Was I Born?
The Bible is the best place to look to understand why God created us—the purpose and meaning of life.
1. God wants us to understand the truth. He wants us to understand that we've earned the death penalty and He wants to save us from that penalty.
"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:3-4).
2. God wants us to become like Jesus Christ—to be His brothers and sisters.
"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn, with many brothers and sisters" (Romans 8:28-29, New Living Translation).
3. We can't even imagine how wonderful it will be to be completely transformed into a spiritual child of God!
"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is" (1 John 3:1-2).
