3 Bible Tips: Pleasing God
1. Obeying God's commandments and doing other things that please God have great benefits!
"And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight" (1 John 3:22; see also Proverbs 16:7).
2. To truly please God, we must have His Spirit—be spiritually minded and obedient to the law of God.
"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His" (Romans 8:7-9; see Transforming Your Life: The Process of Conversion).
3. Praising God, doing good and sharing are well pleasing to God!
"Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased" (Hebrews 13:15-16).
