3 Bible Tips: God's Mysteries, Part 2
In part 1 we covered three basic scriptures about God's mysteries and secrets. Let's delve deeper into this subject.
1. Without love, understanding mysteries is worthless.
"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing" (1 Corinthians 13:2).
2. God's mysteries are revealed through the Holy Spirit.
"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.' But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God" (1 Corinthians 2:7-10).
3. One of the greatest mysteries is how Christ lives in Christians, giving us the real hope of being glorified.
"…the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:26-27).
