3 Bible Tips: Sighing and Crying
1. God will comfort those who mourn.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4).
2. God sets apart those who sigh and cry about the evils in the world because they are learning to think and care as He does.
"And the Lord said to him, 'Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it’" (Ezekiel 9:4; see Genesis 6:5-6 and Matthew 23:37 for examples of God grieving for evil).
3. God promises that someday all sorrow will cease!
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away" (Revelation 21:4).
