3 Bible Tips: Serving God in Silence
Last time we looked at "People Praising Passionately." But there is also a time for quietness.
1. Meditation on God's way can give us peace and stillness.
"Be angry and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah" (Psalm 4:4).
2. David wrote poetically of how trusting God gives calm and quiet.
"Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me" (Psalm 131:2).
3. Seeking righteousness produces peace and quiet assurance.
"The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever" (Isaiah 32:17).
