3 Bible Tips: Growing Good Fruit
1. We must plant spiritual seeds and not get weary caring for them.
"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart" (Galatians 6:7-9).
2. We must plant as if it all depends on us, but pray for growth as if it all depends on God.
"But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully… Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness" (2 Corinthians 9:6, 10).
3. Patience is a key to spiritual growth.
"Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand" (James 5:7-8).
