3 Bible Tips: Be Fruitful-for God and for Others
God compares us with fruit trees. We must bear spiritual fruit to serve God and to share with others. If we deeply love God and love people, we will strive to bear much good fruit for their sakes.
1. Jesus Christ also compared us with branches, while He is the life-giving vine or trunk.
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing… By this My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples" (John 15:5, 8).
2. We need spiritual healing, inside and out, so our fruit will be good.
Jesus said, "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good" (Matthew 12:33, New International Version).
3. Good spiritual fruit is produced by God's Holy Spirit. How do we acquire God's Spirit?
"Now when they heard this [Peter's powerful sermon], they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, ‘Men and brethren, what shall we do?' Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit'" (Acts 2:37-38)
