3 Bible Tips: Avoiding the Way of Get
1. The desires to get sinful sensual pleasures and to get the luxuries and respect we feel we richly deserve are opposite of God's give way of thinking.
"For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world" (1 John 2:16).
2. Self-seeking leads to confusion and evil.
"For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil are there" (James 3:16).
3. Instead of taking, God wants us to produce and give.
"Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need" (Ephesians 4:28).
