3 Bible Tips: The Return of Christ as King
Jesus Christ came as our Savior the first time. His second coming will be as Lord of Lords and King of Kings!
1. Gabriel told Mary that Jesus will sit as King on the throne of David forever.
"He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end" (Luke 1:32-33).
2. The Jews were expecting a Messiah to save them from the Romans, but Jesus said although He was born to be a king, His Kingdom was not of that society or world.
"Jesus answered, 'My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.' Pilate therefore said to Him, 'Are You a king then?' Jesus answered, 'You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice'" (John 18:36-37).
3. Jesus Christ will soon return to literally rule the world!
"Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven saying, 'The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!'" (Revelation 11:15; see also Daniel 2:44; Isaiah 2:4; 9:6-7).
