3 Bible Tips: God's Mysteries, Part 3
In parts 1 and 2 we looked at six amazing passages. Now let's look at three more mysteries God reveals to Christians.
1. Marriage parallels the spiritual union of Christ and the Church.
"'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church" (Ephesians 5:31-32).
2. The resurrection and change to spiritual life at Christ's return are a mystery.
"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed" (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
3. God's plan for Christ to rule everything and for His followers to inherit the Kingdom of God is a wonderful mystery God has revealed.
"God's secret plan has now been revealed to us; it is a plan centered on Christ, designed long ago according to his good pleasure. And this is his plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because of Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us from the beginning, and all things happen just as he decided long ago" (Ephesians 1:9-11, New Living Translation).
