3 Bible Tips for Better Sex
To go along with the tips on being better husbands and wives, here are biblical tips on the joy of wedded bliss. (Yes, this did pass the doctrinal review! The ministers on the team didn't give it a rating, but I'll rate it PG, if for no other reason that parental guidance is always a good thing!)
1. Saving sex for marriage saves you from guilt, comparisons, diseases—defilement that robs a person of the full joy of wedded bliss.
"Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4, New Revised Standard Version).
Rejoice and be enraptured with each other's love.
2. Remember that your body belongs to your mate and give yourself totally to him or her regularly.
"Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control" (1 Corinthians 7:3-5).
3. Rejoice and be enraptured with each other's love.
"Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of your youth. As a loving deer and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and always be enraptured with her love" (Proverbs 5:18-19; see also the Song of Solomon).
