3 Bible Tips: Love—The Most Important Fruit of God's Spirit
1. God's very nature—the nature we must acquire—is defined by love more than anything else.
"He who does not love does not know God, for God is love… And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him" (1 John 4:8, 16).
2. God loves all people so much that He sacrificed His Son for each one of us.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:16-17).
3. All of God's commandments are important, but what are the two great summary commandments?
"'Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?' Jesus said to him, '"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself"'" (Matthew 22:36-39).
